- Press Generate again for new text, then Copy.
Examples
1 paragraph, classic opening
→ Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. …The rest of the paragraph is random sentences from the same word list.
8 words, classic opening
→ Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet consectetur adipiscing elit.
How it works
The generator picks from a list of about sixty Latin words used in the traditional passage. A sentence has six to fifteen words, with a comma added in longer ones, and a paragraph has three to six sentences. Counts are limited to 500 paragraphs or sentences and 5,000 words so the page stays responsive.
Text is made by a small seeded random generator. The tool is tested to give the same output for the same seed, the exact opening line, and the requested number of units.

Frequently asked questions
- What is lorem ipsum?
- Scrambled Latin used as filler so a layout can be judged without the distraction of real content. It goes back to a passage of Cicero's De finibus, altered over the centuries.
- Is it a real language?
- No. The words are real Latin, but the sentences are random combinations and carry no meaning.
- Why does the text change each time?
- Only the opening line is fixed. The rest is chosen at random so each press gives different filler.
- Can I use it in a commercial design?
- Yes. It is placeholder text with no copyright concern, but replace it with real content before you publish.
- Is anything sent anywhere?
- No. The text is made in your browser.
